Designs Made for Coursework

This is from a project done in my SMAD 201 class, Foundations of Visual Communication Design. It is turned into a brochure for a local shelter, Cats Cradle. I used their color scheme to design these brochures while also incorporating a fun and modern aspect.

This piece was created for a project in my SMAD 201 class and later turned into a poster board. I designed it to promote respect for animals and stand against animal cruelty. I used Adobe InDesign to bring the project to life, choosing browns and natural tones to create a deep, serious mood that matched the message.

This project was created for SMAD 202, Foundations of Audio Visual Storytelling. It was designed to be a full-screen graphic at the end of our PSA about college drinking. Using bold red colors and strong visuals, the design grabs the viewer’s attention to help drive the message home.

This is a website I built as part of SMAD 203, Foundations of User Experience Design. Through this project, I learned how to code and customize various elements like colors, images, text, fonts, and links. The site highlights some of the top places to eat in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in a fun and practical way to apply what I learned in class (available upon request).

This is a blog that a group of students and I created in SMAD 242, Introduction to Advertising & New Media. It was an entire semester project that came with ups and downs, but overall turned out very well. We named our website Through the Ad Lens, and created blog posts based on advertisement history and how it has changed. Within this project, I created two blog posts (available upon request).
